Our iced tea journey begins in the most humble of ways. A few years back, Melissa, the founder of teaesk started serving her loose-leaf tea at farmers markets up and down the East Coast of Australia. Mel would pack her little VW Golf to the brim, and travel hundreds of kilometres, meeting locals, making friends, and sharing the love of tea. On one very, very hot day at a South Coast market, Mel asked a neighbouring stall if she could borrow some ice, and another stall if she could buy some honey and fruit. Then, she mixed a deliciously refreshing, all-natural iced tea to serve. People gulped it up. As they did the next market, then the one after. Soon, her iced tea became so popular it would sell out within two hours of opening her market stall.
Although we don’t work the farmer markets anymore, we thought it was about time our honest brew joined you on your journey - wherever that may be. It was time to can it up!
Our foray into the world of ready-to-drink iced tea found a fridge full of artificial ingredients that just won’t do, so we created an alternative that doesn’t compromise on our earth, bodies, or tastebuds.
